The Loft Literary Center: Writing In Place: Exploring The City Through Writing

The creative process can be fed in so many ways and where you write can change your story! An ice cream shop might make your writing short and sweet. An argument you witness in the corner might take your writing from sweet to dark & edgy in an instant.

By moving around the city and finding great spots to write we will deepen our relationship to place. In this week-long intensive we will be meeting at the Loft each day and then quickly venture out to our writing locations for the day. Daily walking/metro transit trip locations include: The Mill City Ruins, The Guthrie Amber room and Endless Bridge, The Minneapolis Central Library, The top floor of the IDS Center and City Hall.

Smart shoes and rain gear necessary!

Please join us as we explore the richness of our city!
